Rathbones Spring Term Cricket Course 2013

The popular Rathbones Spring Term Cricket Courses commenced in January 2013 and again provided great opportunities for more than 130 boys and girls to enjoy cricket and learn new skills and techniques.

The courses are run by qualified coaches and cater for children in school years 3 to 8 at various venues and this year they had the Cricket Factory Core Skills Set to enhance the enjoyment of learning this great sport.

“Many of the players currently representing Jersey in international tournaments started learning their cricket skills on these courses. The initiative enables us to marry the highest quality infrastructure with up and coming players. We are very grateful for Rathbones’ continued support for this programme which allows young players to learn the game while enjoying the activities.” commented Chris Minty of the Jersey Cricket Board.

Mr Minty also pointed out that in addition to the Spring Term Cricket Courses, Rathbones also support the Primary Schools Cricket Section and as a result allow even more young players to experience and enjoy cricket in Jersey.
