26th and 27th May 2013 and the ECB Cricket Factory rig was at the Yorkshire Game Fair at Newby Hall, Ripon.
This was our first time visiting the show, where we focused on the promotion of the Last Man Stands format of cricket to the many visitors
The weather was fantastic and it brought the crowds out in droves to take part in the various dog shows and trials, shooting events and equestrian classes.
The Cricket Factory rig was situated on the main walkway through the Fair so we managed to catch a lot of interest as people arrived and departed. Many families challenged each other in the batting and throwing games with a number returning throughout the day to see if they could better their scores. One young man definitely worth a mention was a 10 year old who threw a huge 46.4mph, a record speed for one so young!
