The ECB Cricket Factory team were in Taunton at the marathon on Sunday 7 April where we were positioned near the finish line. We were joined for the day by Steve who operates the local Last Man Stands league.
Throughout the day we operated our Batting and Speed Throw Challenges.
We were also lucky enough to have volunteers join our team from Somerset Cricket Club who were there to hand out their fixture lists and try to drum up some local support, they even brought along their mascot nicknamed Stumpy – a purple wyvern (although it looked like a dragon to us!).
There were around 1100 runners on the day and events included the fun run, half marathon and full marathon. It was yet another bitterly cold day, but the supporters and runners created a great atmosphere.
