Cricket Factory Privacy Policy
Your privacy
At Factory Eleven we are committed to the highest privacy standards. However you choose to interact with us, we will only collect data that is necessary for us to deliver the best possible customer service in relation to our products and services. This policy provides detailed information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it and the very limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others.
Collection of your Personal Information
We only collect your basic contact information: name, email, telephone numbers and your address in relation to servicing an enquiry or processing an order for products and events services. As an established customer we will hold information relating to your order history.
Our legal bases for processing personal data
Under the General Data Protection Regulations we rely on the following legal bases for processing your data:
Consent – we will ask your consent for marketing to you via email or post. If you consent we can collect and process your data for this purpose.
Contract – we sometimes need to collect and process your personal data in order to fulfil a contract with you, for example an order. We will also collect and process your data on this basis if you’ve asked us to provide a quote.
Legal – we are obliged to process some personal data to comply with the law. If you place an order with us we must retain some personal data for at least six years to comply with the Sale of Goods Act 1982, Consumer Rights Act of 2015 and HMRC guidance.
Legitimate interests – we collect and process some personal data to pursue our legitimate interests in a way you would reasonably expect as part of running our business; for example, to analyse information on our customers in order to provide new products or services.
How we use this information
The information we collect about you is used to ensure we provide you with the best and most appropriate products and services and to provide information regarding relevant products or services that we believe would be of interest.
For example we may use your information to:
• Process orders that you have submitted.
• To respond to queries from you.
• To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into by you and us. • Seek your views or comments on the services and products we provide.
• Notify you of changes to our services.
• Send you communications which you have requested and that may be of interest to you. These may include information about offers, events, new additions to our range, event activities and special promotions.
Our policy on storage, processing and retention of your information
Your data is stored on encrypted hard drives and processed internally by ourselves. We retain your information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our products and services and to maintain records to satisfy tax and other legal requirements.
We will only keep your data for as long as it’s needed. After that, we’ll either delete it completely or render it anonymous (removing personal data but keeping information such as order amount for business analysis).
If you contact us for a quote and you don’t consent to marketing, we’ll keep your data for a year in case you wish to proceed with the quote.
If you order from us, we’ll keep your data for six years in order to comply with legal obligations. You can request that some of this is removed sooner – see below.
After six years we will remove your data unless you have consented to our marketing.
We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis.
How and when we may share your Personal Information
Sometimes we need to share your personal data with external agencies, organisations and trusted third parties. In these instances, your data will only be used for the exact purpose we specify, will be transferred and stored securely, and will be deleted or rendered anonymous if we stop working with that third party.
Examples of the third parties with whom we share data are:
- Payment-processing services
- Delivery couriers and postal services
- for the prevention and detection of fraud and criminal activity
Should any claim be made, we may pass your personal information to our insurers and if our business is wholly or partially transferred to a third party, your personal information may be one of the transferred assets.
This list is not exhaustive and may change from time-to-time in line with our business processes. Please be assured that we will only ever share your information with trusted parties who adhere to GDPR and the correct standards of security.
Your rights with respect to the Personal Information we hold
You are entitled to access the personal information that we hold on you; any such request should be made using our contact details below. If any data we hold is inaccurate, this will be corrected promptly on request. In certain circumstances you can request that we erase your data which we will do where this would not prevent us meeting our legal and regulatory obligations.
Updating your communication preferences
You may ask that we do not send you communications using any of the contact details we hold on our records, this may include your email, SMS, telephone and postal information. Your personal preferences can be changed at any time by using the link at the end of every email and SMS message we send or by using our contact details below.
