Newsham Park’s Cricket Club was celebrating their new astro strip in Newsham Park during the Festival of Sport community day in Liverpool on Sunday and the ECB Cricket Factory Team were on hand to help draw in the crowds.
This community-based event was focusing on raising awareness of inclusion and accessibility in local sports activities and for our part, we were there on behalf of Lancashire Cricket Board who are keen to drum up new members for the local Newsham Cricket Club.
There were lots of different sporting activities for the community to try and the whole event was organised in association with Liverpool Sport.
As usual, we had loads of fun with the participants who got involved and had a go trying the challenges on the rig. In particular, as always, the dads were keen to compete against the clock and the speedometer.
