A highly successful local community event, The Hemlock Happening took place in Broxstowe Park, Nottinghamshire for the 11th year in a row.
The event is a lively, fun-packed day with live music, dance, make-and-take activities, re-enactment, sports and dozens of local groups, schools and local organisations.
Nottinghamshire Cricket Board had invited the ECB Cricket Factory team along and had set up a large cricket skill circuit using the the ECB Cricket Factory core skill set of equipment which prepared participants for the challenges of the rig, helping them maximise their scores on the day. This was a great idea and really showed the potential of the equipment to work flexibly within the space provided and luckily there were enthusiastic coaches on hand to provide their expertise.
There were loads of family groups keen to test their cricket skills and we really enjoyed the extra competitive edge that the use of the ECB Cricket Factory Core Skills Set added to the participants on the day.
We noticed an increase in numbers from the previous year so it’s great to see this popular and fun local event gaining popularity.
