Saturday 11 May saw the ECB Cricket Factory team set up the rig behind the West Stand during the Yorkshire vs Somerset match in the Yorkshire Bank 40 to provide some high-quality interactive fun for the crowds who were at Headingley.
The weather did us proud for a change and with the sun shining it was a real pleasure to be able to welcome large numbers of cricketing fans throughout the day, including some enthusiastic and competitive adults.
A number of Yorkshire junior cricket clubs who were entertaining the fans during the break had a great time on the rig with some fine efforts on the speed throw challenge in particular. There were a few 11 year olds who were notching up speeds of between 54-56 mph – very impressive!
The only disappointment of the day was the Vikings being defeated by Somerset in their first home YB40.
