Whilst this was our first visit, this event is in its second year and was part of the Waltham Forest community engagement legacy programme, which they combined this year with Armed Forces Day. Situated on the land behind the Town Hall we set up among a variety of other sports including archery, boxing, martial arts, gymnastics and a zip line.
The sun definitely encouraged the visitors and we were busy from start to finish, with special visits from the Mayor and dignitaries from the armed forces. Some fantastic scores were achieved throughout the afternoons activities and many came back to see if they could better themselves.
A huge thank you to the team of coaches from Essex Cricket who worked tirelessly with great enthusiasm despite the soaring temperatures.
