For the second Sunday in a row we set up the rig in glorious sunshine, maybe the summer is finally here! We weren’t in our usual Headingley spot for this event though, we were placed behind the big screen, closer to all the other Children’s Day action.
As the gates opened, one of the first participants through the doors of the rig was Celebrity Chef Brian Turner CBE shortly followed by the Lord Mayor of Leeds Ann Castle, who threw a very respectable 32mph on the Speed Throw!
It was great to be able to take the Clydesdale Bank and Yorkshire Bank ECB Cricket Factory Roadshow to support the event and the Leeds Rugby Foundation, Yorkshire Cricket Foundation and the Gary Chappelhow Memorial Fund who delivered the event.
One of the entertaining moments of the day was watching Chef Brian Turners Omelette Challenge! Tasty Chocolate Slab though!
