The two events form a weekend of sporting action in the North East.

Having a Ball at Barleylands

Amazing weather for the Essex Country Show at Barleylands, in Billericay this weekend – and a fitting end to the closing hours of the fantastically successful Paralympics taking place in nearby Stratford.

Whilst we weren’t handing out gold medals on this occasion, Dave and Dan who joined us from Essex County Cricket Board were able to offer some fantastic promotions including annual memberships and other great giveaways. We had plenty of skilled visitors to the rig and it was fantastic to see all the family groups getting involved with a healthy dose of competition between them.  […]

Vaughan’s Allstars Deliver a Great Day Out in Sheffield

We had a fantastic event at Michael Vaughan’s Twenty20 England Allstars cricket legends match in Sheffield. The beautiful weather coupled with the action on and around the cricket pitch made for an amazing family day out and there were plenty of families taking advantage of the last gasp of the summer holidays.

With a enthusiastic crowd to watch the match, there was also an ECB kids Kwik Cricket tournament taking place earlier in the day. We had great fun coaching the future cricketing stars around the ECB Cricket Factory rig as well as through some of the challenges using the ECB Cricket Skill Sets. […]

Rain really does stop play during the CB40 event in Taunton

The Clydesbank 40 event in Taunton with Surrey playing against Somerset proved that yet again the Summer of 2012 will be on record as a rather damp one.

With only 4 overs played before rain stopped play for the day, the whole event was pretty challenging for all involved. With a number of other group games on the day ending in a no result due to the weather, it really was a victory for the great British rain over cricket.

Children’s Day – Headingley

For the second Sunday in a row we set up the rig in glorious sunshine, maybe the summer is finally here! We weren’t in our usual Headingley spot for this event though, we were placed behind the big screen, closer to all the other Children’s Day action.

As the gates opened, one of the first participants through the doors of the rig was Celebrity Chef Brian Turner CBE shortly followed by the Lord Mayor of Leeds Ann Castle, who threw a very respectable 32mph on the Speed Throw! […]
