Following last years hugely successful event on the beach at Weston we were thrilled to discover that the air show would be following OceanFest and that we would be able to attend.
Our location on the sand was next to the Sea Aquarium and perfect for the family groups that had come for the Airshow and to enjoy the great weather on the beach.
As with Croyde, Somerset CCC set up their promotional marquee and continued to operate their spot the ball competition alongside the Rig. Many of the families who visited us throughout the day had experienced very little cricket and through the handouts they were giving out many were keen to try the sport at their local club. We were even able to hand out tickets to one of the forthcoming matches as prizes to visitors to the rig.
