A fantastic day at Forton CC, to mark the launch of the NatWest CricketForce Weekend.
Throughout the day we were joined by local school groups who visited the ECB Cricket Factory Rig to take part in the Catching, Batting and Throwing Challenges, followed up with an activity circuit using the ECB Cricket Factory Core Skill Set where they were able to challenge each other, and the teachers, in the various skill tests that were laid out alongside the Rig.
Former England Cricketers Mike Gatting and Matthew Hoggard along with England Women’s Danni Wyatt were on hand throughout the day to help out with jobs at the club, which included digging holes, mending fences and painting – lucky for us Matthew and Danni found some spare time to visit the Rig and give us all a masterclass in how to throw. Joining us on the ECB Cricket Factory Rig was Beth from Forton CC and Ian and Luke from Shropshire Cricket, thank you all for your help on what was a great day.
