Despite a rather cold, damp day the atmosphere was fantastic around the T20 Finals host ground, Edgbaston.
As always on T20 Finals Day, there was a great turnout and we were kept busy with a constant stream of avid cricket supporters. The fancy dress outfits were outstanding with Smurfs, Mexicans, Traffic Cones and Batman and Robin to name but a few.
We were very happy to welcome two old friends back to the ECB Cricket Factory rig, Matthew Hoggard and Mark Butcher who both took time out to sign autographs and have a few throws in our speed throw lane. Best throw over the whole day went to ‘Hoggy’ who threw a fantastic 72.3 mph !
Northamptonshire, who not only reached the T20 final for the first time, won by the handsome margin of 102 runs.
