Sunday 2 June saw us bathed in spring sunshine at a charity cricket game bringing together the MP’s and Celebrities vs the Emmerdale Allstars  - with the former team the ultimate victors.

The event was raising money for Derbyshire’s air ambulance and was organised by Andrew Bingham MP (High Peaks and Derbyshire).

The Emmerdale All-Stars team was captained by Matthew Wolfenden, who plays David Metcalfe in the popular soap opera, and includes Chris Chittell, who plays Eric Pollard; Tony Audenshaw, who plays Bob Hope; Chris Bisson, who plays Jai Sharma; Bhasker Patel, who plays Rishi Sharma; and former county cricketer Ashley Metcalfe.

The MPs and Celebrities team included Blue Peter presenter Barney Harwood; Glossop entrepreneur and star of The Apprentice, Adam Corbally; former children’s TV presenter Andy Crane, and former England and county cricketer Paul Nixon.

The day was a great family event and we had a huge amount of fun and competitive spirit on the ECB Cricket Factory Rig. Take a look at our twitter feed from the day for some action shots and a flavour of the day.

It was all in a good cause, as the Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA) provides a vital service. They are funded entirely by voluntary donations and attend, on average, four missions every single day.
