It was another busy day for the ECB Cricket Factory team on Sunday when we went to Wormsley Cricket Ground in Buckinghamshire where the first of the Women’s Ashes Test match was being held. The Ground had an attendance of over 2,500 people on the Sunday and in excess of 6,000 people over the four days.
We had great fun with the many spectators, many of whom had never been to a cricket match before – what a venue to visit for a first taste of the sport.
It was great to receive some fantastic feedback from many parents who thanked us for our part in inspiring their daughters to continue or in some cases take up the game.
