Cricket on the Beach at Weston super Mare was a huge success
Somerset CCC organised the event to get locals and holiday makers involved in cricket. Peter Trego, Arul Suppiah and Jack Leach were there meeting people, signing autographs and competing at the various challenges offered not only on the ECB Cricket Factory rig but also on some special ‘Beat the Player’ competition using Connect 4 and Jenga – we all decided they should stick to cricket !
All in all a great day out at the beach with lots of interest from our many visitors about cricket in Somerset … the day did not however, go as well for the club mascot ‘Stumpy’, let’s hope he makes a full recovery.
