We set up at the Royal London One Day Cup match between Northampton and Derbyshire, and despite battling with the tail end of hurricane Bertha the rig sat nicely between the new stand and the main turnstiles.

We were kept busy pre match by Northamptonshire’s age group teams who were on site for training, many of whom were very competitive and repeatedly visited to try and better their scores.

Unfortunately the heavy rain and Thunderstorms got the better of us on a number of occasions throughout the day, although good to see the crowd remained on site, waiting patiently for the covers to be removed and the slightly reduced over match to start.

During the ‘drying’ time Northamptonshire’s Rob Keogh came to the rig and had a go at the Batting and speed throw challenges. After 4 goes on the Batting challenge he finally got a score which he was happy with – 14 runs!

Thank you to everyone at Northamptonshire CCC who made us so welcome.
