With a good weather forecast we were looking forward to a top day of cricket and a busy day on the ECB Cricket Factory.
Set up in one of our favourite locations, the Nursery Ground at Lords, we saw nearly 600 young people and adults throughout the game. Some challengers we had met on previous visits to Lords and to various events around the country – we are always impressed with those who can remember the score they got on their last visit!
Like the game being played on the field we also had a nail biting finish with a group of corporate visitors who had been running a challenge through the day. Despite the close scores on the batting challenge it was the speed throw that finally provided them with an outright winner – great fun!
