With our route planned to avoid all the road closures we ventured across to York Racecourse ready for Stage 2 of Le Tour de France.
Located opposite the grandstand, Yorkshire Cricket Foundation Museum and ourselves were overlooked by the 25,000 spectators who had been lucky enough to get tickets to enter the course to watch the sponsor vehicles and the peloton start Stage 2 which took them from York through Harrogate and into Sheffield.
We were busy right from opening with many, very competitive, family groups challenging each other in the rig, and then going to have a further cricket challenge on the Cricket Factory Allrounder that the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation had set up just outside the museum. Congratulations to Oliver who won that challenge and will receive a Cricket Factory ‘Mini’ Allrounder next week.
Thank you again to the whole team who worked tirelessly to provide a great experience to everyone who visited us.
