We were determined not to let the forecasted heavy rain dampen our spirits and get the better of us at the first of the Royal London England v India ODI Series in Bristol.
Despite not a single ball bowled in the match we spent our time busy entertaining all ages of spectators from the time the gates opened at 08:30. We had great fun with the groups of fans, with many of them having travelled from around the country to get a chance to see their heroes play.
The coaches from Gloucestershire, Peter, Harry and Alex along with our own team all kept going despite the deluge of water that kept falling from the sky, to ensure that the many fans had something to do whilst they waited for the match to start.
Unfortunately for all involved the match was abandoned due to the rain. Lets hope that the next Royal London ODI match at Cardiff has better luck with the weather.
